Conducts research and develops policies and procedures for the installation and operation of KUBa€ s natural gas distribution system specifically related to pipeline integrity management. Works with various stakeholders either to develop new or to enhance existing work processes and compliance programs to ensure adherence to applicable requirements. Responsible for the creation and revision of standards, specifications, and standard operating procedures. Provides inspections and direct support for field construction activities. Provides or coordinates training on any resulting process change and/or for communication of distribution integrity management requirements. Performs or coordinates research and/or inspections of new and existing natural gas utility systems, and makes recommendations concerning methods or techniques to assist in attaining, maintaining, or exceeding compliance with applicable regulations and/or standards (including but not limited to API, ASME/ANSI, NACE, etc.). Provides technical assistance to other employees, customers, consultants, and contractors. Collects and analyzes compliance data and submits compliance reports when required. May conduct educational/promotional programs in order to promote utility awareness. Works on special projects and assignments as required. May participate with other cross-functional teams within KUB, occasionally assuming a leadership role to address specific project goals and objectives.
