Installation Instructions for jDMTree 1.5.3 Module with Joomla 1.5

step 1.

Logon to your joomla administration.

Select Menu item : Extensions->Install/UnInstall

step 2:

In the Upload Package File Section

Click on Browse Button and select the file (mod_jdmtree15.zip) you have downloaded from this site.

step 3:

Click on Upload File & Install Button

 

Make sure you see success message after installation.

Now you have completed installation

 

Next are configuration steps (parameters input how you want in your site)

 

step 4:

Select menu item : Extensions->Module Manager
From the list of Installed modules

find and select 'Docman jDMTree 1.5'

 

step 5:

Now you are in the edit screen of the module.

 

Here in this screen , you may modify as required for your website.

All field has default values.

 

Title (Default value is 'Docman Tree Module')

Show Title : You may select yes or No

Position: Select Left or Right (of the screen where you wanted to position the module)

Module Order : This is the order in which module has to be displayed (if you have already many other modules already)

Access Level : Select Public(anyone)/Registered(only registered users) as required by you.

Published : Select this field as Yes.

Document Display Count : 5(default) it displays only first 5 documents (based on the 'sort order' selection) in a category or sub category.
You can change this if you have more.

Maximum Category Length: 20(default) Truncates characters if category name is more than 20.

Maximum Document Length: 20(default) Truncates characters if document name is more than 20.

Sort Order :'Last Update Date Desc'(defualt) - You may choose any option available in the list.

Category Link Label : 'View Category'(default)- Label for Category link in the tree. 

Category Option : For excluding or including selected categories based on categoryid(field below)
[Leave this field default value to display all categories]
Category IDs: List of Categories(sepeareted by comma) to be excluded or included [Leave blank for default behaviour]

step 6: Click on Save Toolbar button on top of the screen.

 

step 7: Now you are all set to go, check your website for DocMan jDMTree 1.5 module !!!!
